The Forest of Calydon is a forest situated between the City of Atlantis and Cisthene. A band of Scythians were known to hunt here. Hercules wanted to reach Medusa and so he travelled through this forest in order to reach her, however was captured by the Scythians.
Atalanta also lived here near a Temenos, where she believed Artemis protected her and taught her. (The Price of Hope)
